Oct 23, 2017 - Using the Dolphin Emulator you can bring your GameCube and Wii games. More recent versions only support 64-bit Windows, Mac OS X, Linux. But will otherwise save you lag spikes in games that are prone to it, like.
What is Dolphin? Dolphin is an open source emulator for running Nintendo Wii and GameCube games on Windows, Linux and Mac OSX. With a capable machine you can run Wii games full speed, with better graphics than a Wii, because you can add AntiAliasing anisotropic filtering and multiply texture resolution. Homepage: Source: Improved Mac Builds: General builds: Xenoblade improved audio build: I'm still in the process to build usable builds, so far I've not had much success, but I'm sure they'll come soon! Difference from XBox and other emulators: The Difference between Dolphin and other emulators for XBox, Playstation 2 is that Dolphin runs almost any game nearly flawless! Even new Wii games runs just about perfect!
If you have the machine for it. Compatibility lists: Wii: GameCube: A very small faq: What does Dolphin need to run good? CPU power, DUAL CORE CPU power. Doesn't matter if it has 12 cores, the mere speed you can get on two cores is the fastest you can go, a Dual Core i7 at 2.5GHz will be faster than a Quad Core i7 at 2.4GHz. My 4GHz Core 2 Duo can run most games full speed or close (all I've tried runs flawless).
I guess 3GHz Core 2 Duo macs can run things sweet, as well as i5 and i7's What about GPU? GPU is good too, but you still need that CPU power, a good GPU will be able to improve textures, add AF and AA and other effects. It will however not improve you base frame rate. A weak GPU will however bottleneck your DPU, something like GT330M should probably be enough unless you want full HD textures and AF/AA. Graphics: GameCube: Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance (click on picture to enlarge) Wii: Pandor's Tower: (click on picture to enlarge) More to come! Feel free to ask questions! Dolphin beat PCSX2.
I have two questions. Is Dolphin requires BIOS or firmware file? I can dump it from my own Wii. Can Dolphin can read DVD drive? (Non-ISO) If you said no.
I think I can use untitled homebrew app (I don't remember name.) can dump disc and make iso. I can buy wii games again because I traded them for Portal 2 Disc from EBGames. FirmWare: no need for anything. DVD: no and yes, only a few drives are supported because of some encryption. Games on HD is great tho, games have virtually no loading from HD.

Booting up and load last save is like 5 sec max. Loading save from hotkeys are like 2 seconds. You can dump games with your Wii, instructions in their wiki. I just got myself Xenoblade, which is among the highest rated games ever made. It got 10/10 from Joystiq, RPGamer and GamePro.
9.5/10 from Game Informer and 9/10 both Gamespot and IGN. It also have an overall 92% score on MetaCritic.
The game has some issues with the normal build, with much audio lag. I have however linked a build with patched audio which makes it much better! If your FPS falls below 25 FPS (which the EU / US version is locked to, the JP release is however 30) you get audio lag, but this isn't much of a problem (so far) unless I'm recording. There is apparently a patch that can make the EU/US versions to run at 30 FPS too, I have not tried this.
There is some minor shadow errors, which are a bit annoying in cutscenes, but not while playing. Anti Aliasing is also known to crash the game, which i experienced after 5 minutes of play, instead I set resolution to 1920x1536 and scaled it down to 1680x1050, which makes the picture smooth and nice. I'm so looking forward to play thru this game! (will have up a short recording from the start of the game shortly). Dolphin uses loads of CPU, so Im' guessing you have one of those 3.06 Ghz iMacs?

My GTX285 can actually do 4x IR + EFB scale 16x AA and 16x AF even in new Wii games without loosing FPS, it's all about the CPU. Ideal machine for Dolphin is something like a Dual Core 6GHz with a medium gfx card, although my 4GHz can do just about anything on full speed it seems. Yes, I have a iMac with a intel core 2 duo 3.06Ghz Although i will never put my IR to 4x native because when i do i get less then 10 FPS. Now, I have four wii games. I can't dump them. It always failed many times. Finally, I converted ISO from iso dump raw (joined split iso too) using cmd isofuse.
I uses split ISO dump raw because my Wii can't copy full one full ISO 4.7GB. I did it last night. Here is code cmd isofuse. Copy /b.SJBE52.part0.iso+.SJBE52.part1.iso+.SJBE52.part2.iso fulliso.iso Just rename name files. SJBE52 is GoldenEye 007 game I dumped first time. It can take about 5 mins or more. It will join split files.
(Please not remove this.) EDIT: You can't convert ISO on Mac OS X because it don't have isofuse command! You need any Windows OS to use isofuse command.
Thanks to Dolphin forum for post about convert to ISO from dump raw. Here is link. Post #5 is very helpful. Note about CleanRip: Please don't try to change 4GB chunk size or max chunk size. My Wii system can't copy one full 4.4GB iso to my 16GB SD card because USB port and SD card reader can't handled it like my laptops. I uses 2GB chunk size setting, no dual-layer, and no next-chunk. CleanRip can split three files.
It's perfect dump and copy for me. I dumped and converted two games works on Dolphin: - GoldenEye 007 10-15 FPS (screenshot ) - Trauma Team 30-60 FPS (something wrong with fps counter. It said 60 fps but it's slow motion.) (screenshot ) Here is my photo. Trauma Team - I brought it from my local library near my home. I do not own it. House of Dead Overkill - My brother and I can't find House of Dead Overkill disc.
Ofc, My brother and I love it. GoldenEye 007 - My brother can play it. I'm not good with Wii FPS control. I'm PC gamer. He got it for xmas. Wii Play - Bored!
I forgot trade it. I found it in my basement. I think I will get wii game ' (Scary japanese game) is available in my local library. My local library have lot of video games discs! Edit: I placed it hold on my local library today! Btw, Dolphin told me three games are perfect without bug (rated five stars). And two games are playable because they have few of bugs (rated four star).
All Wii ISO Size are same as 4.4GB. It's annoying for me. Dude, Mac OS X is slow too for me because I don't have powerful mac. I using Windows 7 for gaming on my crappy PC laptop. Btw, I thought you downloaded Mario Party from torrent. I saw same size 4.7GB on some websites long time ago.
Only I know 4.7GB iso is always come from torrent backup, not dump. CleanRip FTW! (I already hacked my own Wii.) I can dump any Wii games discs now.
I don't need torrent anymore. Sadly, You can't convert ISO on Mac OS X because it don't have isofuse command. That's why I uses Windows 7. Edit: I'm going to dump two wii discs!
As i have downloaded mario party 4, it can open in dolphin emulator, audio and graphic are great however, the game is not goes smoothly, is keep lagging, Is it the system problem? Any solution? My System information: CPU - Intel® Core i3-2310M CPU @ 2.10GHz (4 CPUs), 2.1GHz GPU - Intel® HD Graphics Family and which dolphin version i should use in order to play the smoothly without lagging Thanks!!!:)/ You're using PC laptop with i3 Core at 2.10GHz and Intel HD 2000 265MB vram. It's not powerful enough for Dolphin and few of games. Dolphin requires any good Intel/AMD CPU with SSE2 at 3.00GHz and any Nvidia/AMD video card with 1GB vram.
However, you need set 1xNative (640x528) and AA none. It can get 30fps or less.
Getting a better GPU will definitely help, the GT610 is a very low end card. A GTX 750 or R7 260x are solid budget videocards, get one of these and you will be good! Pretty much hit the nail on the head there Other than that changing the Settings in The emulator which usually is not a significant boost unless you want the game to look like a 8-bit from the 80's. But i do believe if you turn sound off you will get a small boost Enable dual core enable idle skipping And use JIT Recompiler as the CPU Emulator Engine Other than that i'm not really sure.
