Keeping with tradition, Apple released the latest update to their desktop operating system macOS Mojave at the end of September. The Mojave update introduced several much-anticipated features including a new Dark Mode to macOS. As with all major operating system updates, it’s best to delay your upgrade until software vendors have a chance to release their own updates to support it. For users of AutoCAD for Mac, that day arrived on Monday.
The 2018.1 Update improves the functionality and user experience. It also improves overall stability of the product. This update is recommended for all users. Users of AutoCAD for Mac 2018 and AutoCAD for Mac 2017 should see an in-product notification alerting them of the update. In addition to this notification, the update is available for download from the portal. The AutoCAD for Mac 2018.2 and AutoCAD for Mac 2017.3 updates mostly address bugs and provide support for macOS Mojave.
One new feature, which could be considered part of supporting the new macOS update, is support for Mojave’s new Dark Mode. For a full list of updates, consult the release notes for both updates on the Autodesk Account portal.
